Explore Salem’s Brewery Scene
August 13, 2025Comfortable social atmosphere, experimental brews, and the chance to support a local business are just three of the reasons the brewery scene is hopping in Salem, MA.
People are drawn to breweries for a number of reasons including the diverse flavors of craft beers, ales and ciders that can only come from a neighborhood brewery. They also love the warm and welcoming environment that most breweries embrace. Salem is lucky enough to be the home to three breweries, each with their own personality, brew style and environment. Let’s explore each and find out what makes each one an ideal destination for your next gathering or casual night out.
Couch Dog Brewing Co.
Couch Dog Brewing Co. brings diverse and exciting flavors to Massachusetts’ thriving craft beer scene. As an AAPI-owned (Asian American or Pacific Islander) microbrewery and taproom based in downtown Salem, MA, the aromatic and Asian-inspired ales offered in their taproom is just one of the things that sets them apart.
The welcoming community and an inclusive environment at Couch Dog Brewing Co. is extended not only to all visitors and guests of the microbrewery but also to their canine friends as well. Given its name, it comes as no surprise that Couch Dog Brewing is dog-friendly. They simply request that all dogs are leashed, well-behaved, and up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations. We’ll have treats and water bowls at the ready!
Explore the entire beer list online and take advantage of their Mug Club Membership that gets you: a Couch Dog mug, early access to new beer releases, 10% off all merch and glassware and a free mug of beer on your birthday. Check out all the events, merch and directions online.
